Athletic Achievement: Defensive Player of Year - Basketball (10) Basketball Varsity Letter (10, 11, 12). Basketball Assist. Leader Award(12). Basketball Honorable Mention - Saginaw Valley (12) Basketball All Academic Team (9, lO, 11,12). MVP Jr. Varsity Soccer (9). Varsity Soccer Letter (10, 11,12) Red and Black Spirit Award -- Soccer (11). All Academy Team Soccer (9,10,11,12).

Scholastic Achievement: United States Youth Senate Winner for State of Michigan. LEAD-(Leadership Education and Development in Business), OPAL-(Outstanding Promise Arts and Letters) at Michigan State University. Martin Luther King "I Have A Dream" essay contest (1st place).  Honored by Society of Women Engineers.

Extra Curricular Activities: President of National Honor Society, Vice President of Class (11, 12). Model U.N., School Newspaper Yearbook staff, Homecoming Committee, Homecoming Float Chairperson, Flint Youth Symphony (9.10,11,12). Private violin lessons since the age of 4.

Other Information: President, Xinos Phi Delta Kappa, President, Church Usher Board, Church Choir, Youth Fellowship, ASPIRE (Pre-Engineering,9), Assisted in Salem Housing Project, Provided volunteer service to disabled female, Christmas caroling to senior citizens, School clean up.

SCOTT THOMAS - Flint Southwestern Academy -- GPA 3.5

Athletic Achievement: Captain of track team, 1992, Captain of Cross Country team, 1992, Co-captain Cross Country, 1993, voted Most Improved Player and Most dedicated by peers. First team All-City and second team All-Valley in cross country. State qualifier in track. Participated in football, basketball and a captain of the track team. Received varsity letters for track and cross country.

Scholastic Achievement: Member of National Honor Society. Attendance awards and many distinction and high distinction honor roll certificates. Courses taken have major emphasis on math and science; two years of chemistry, biology, physics, algebra 1, second year algebra, and trigonometry. Involved in Northern's math/science magnet -- 1992-93. Scott graduated with honors in June, 1993.

Extra Curricular Activities: Winner of 1992 N.O.B.L.E. award given by GMI summer management program. Academic All-Valley Team, 1991-92 (Ranked 24 out of 221 students.) Member of ASPIRE, a pre-engineering program.

Other Information: Sunday School secretary and various duties for National Honor Society.
