SAMUEL NEELEY, JR. is a longtime supporter of Flint's youth, especially in the area of golf. If you have a youngster playing golf, it is more than likely your child has heard of Sam Neeley.

Sam is the founder of the F.I.C.G.A., and has been program director for Inner City Jr. Golf for nine years. He organized and coached Bryant Middle School Jr. Golf Team 1984-85. Sam was also the organizer and director of City Best Ball Jr. Golf Team Tournament. He served as youth advisor for NAACP in 1989-90. In 1990 he organized the NAACP's Afro-Academic Cultural Technological and Scientific Olympics Program (ACT-SO). NAACP sent eight youth to the nationals in Los Angeles, California. He has worked with G.M.I. ASPIRE program.

Sam also organized the first Project Youth Jr. Baseball League for ages 5-14.

Sam's Junior Golf Program encourages, trains and teaches youth more than just a game. His program also promotes respect for one another and builds character. Sam has been an important role model for over 125 youth in the junior Golf Program. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
