Computers and Computer Training
High-speed Internet access, Microsoft
Office programs, and training!
Computer
Access
- You may use computers at the Library for up
to 2 hours per day.
- Sign up for a computer at a Pharos station.
- Most computers are available for 1 hour at a
time.
- Express computers (in Nonfiction) are available
for 15 minutes at a time.
- Genealogy computers (in Reference) and Career computers (in Nonfiction) are available for 2 hours at a time,
by scheduled reservation. Reservations may be made up to a week in
advance.
- Computers have Internet access, Microsoft
Office programs, MOIS career software, and access to the Library's
databases.
- Career computers (in Nonfiction) also have WinWay
resume software and Homework Help software.
- Children's computers also have Homework Help
software.

To use the computers, you will need
- The barcode from your Flint Public Library card
- Your PIN (Personal Identification Number)
- An up-to-date patron record (renew yearly)
Visitors
to our community can ask for guest access.
Saving your work
- Library computers can access floppy disks
and USB flash drives
- Floppy disks are available at the Library
for 25 cents
Printing your work
- Black and white, 10 cents per page

- Color, 25 cents per page
- Use your Flint Public Library card or
purchase an eSource card to pay for printing.

- Take a computer class at the Main Library
- Sign up for Internet One-on-One at Cody
or West Flint branches.
