Borrowing - Quick Facts:
Below is a brief synopsis of our loan procedures. If you have questions not answered in this summary, call the Library at 810-232-7111, ext.2178 for assistance.
Loan Period
Most materials (books and CDs) may be borrowed for three weeks.
Videos and DVDs may be borrowed for seven days and must be returned
to the Main Library.
Renewals
Videos, DVDs, interlibrary loan materials (ILL), and items on
hold may NOT be renewed. All other items may be renewed for
an additional three (3) weeks. Renewals may be done in person,
by telephone (during library hours), or online.
Fines
A fine of 10¢ per day is charged for all materials, except for videos and
DVDs, which are $.50 a day, and Book Club in a Bag which is $1.00 per day.
Limits on Borrowing
There are some limitations on the numbers of items that may be
borrowed at one time. Note that no additional materials may
be checked out if $5 in fines are owed or if 6 items are overdue.
Drop Boxes
A drop box is available on Crapo Rd. where materials may
be returned at any time.
Damaged or Lost Material
Replacement cost and a processing fee will be charged for
all lost or damaged materials.
Lost Library Cards
Report a lost or stolen card immediately. Inform the library
of any change in address or telephone number. Lost card fees
is $2.00.
